Hi Friends,

Two weeks or more at home with the kids is a LONG time. Now throw in having to homeschool and it’s a lot to juggle. Coronavirus may have taken our lives and put them on pause …. but it’s NOT gonna take my sanity too ?I am living this right along with you, and I am here for you. Deep in my soul….I am an extrovert who really loves a plan, a schedule and to get out and do. So a quarantine is basically my worst nightmare. I know boredom can be a good thing and honestly my kids could use a little more of it but yall sometimes I have to cook dinner and pee and unload the laundry machine so having some things planned can be the difference between a good day or a bad day. A little planning goes a long way. So allow me to plan for you my friends. ❤️ HERE ARE 5 WAYS TO ENTERTAIN YOUR KIDS…….. FOR FREE! ❤️

  1.  Nickelodeon is such a staple in every families house but it also a GREAT resource for parents. With everything from free arts + crafts you can download and print to coloring sheets and puzzles this website has already been a great resource for my 3 year old twins! You can find all those things and MORE HERE!
  2. CHORE CHARTS are so good. Ecsp in times like these. You can have the kids come up with their own chores and write new ones out each week or here is a printable resource here that we are currently using in our home. This is also a great time to work on these skills without all the interruption of school and sports.
  3. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Our precious Nanny and friend brought this to my attention. Virtual Field Trips. What a day in age to have to be quarantined. Instead of fighting over bread and water like they did a hundred years ago you can now be quarantined and visit the Anne Frank House, Buckingham Palace or the Louvre without ever having to leave your home. What an incredible idea! Also, what a reminder of all we have to be thankful for even during such a scary time!
  4. PRINTABLE SCAVENGER HUNTS… talk about a way to keep the kids busy outside. These are so much fun and were some of my favorite things to do as a kid. They are also FREE!
  5. FACETIME playdates. ZOOM playdates. Call grandma. Set up a ZOOM call with the whole class. Let your kids show their friends the house, their toys, their Barbie collection and give yourself a break. Lulu has already had two virtual play dates today. It is amazing how technology is making this so much easier, and helping her feel more connected to her friends she misses so much right now. (Marco Polo is also a great app for keeping in touch with family members if they are unavailable for a call when you are!)

XOXO,

Brandon
